I would never have known what my grandfather looked like had the camera not been invented, because his days ended before mine began. I am fascinated with what a camera can do: a moment in time can be captured for the future ages.

As a child, I would absorb the pictures in the National Geographic and Life magazines that were in our home. Plus, I loved putting together jigsaw puzzles and knitting multi-colored sweaters. Both of these activities fascinated me for the same reasons: attention to details, colors and shapes.

In my young adulthood, a friend would use his camera wherever we went. I admired how he was not intimidated by anyone when he took pictures and we always enjoyed looking at our most recent excursions in slides and photos. I, too, desired to capture my world on film! After purchasing my first "good" camera, my eyes began to see nature, people, and natural light falling on various subjects in a new, provocative way.

After a rainfall, when I look at light glistening through the trees in the early morning, it thrills my soul. I say to myself, "Get your camera!" The subject matter is not all that I am drawn to; it's also the atmosphere surrounding it that makes it unique. The dew, the rain, the sunlight or fog that crosses over the scene shows forth nature's gracefulness.

Now I am excited about this website and offering these unique glimpses of nature's beauty to you. I am looking forward to a long and healthy life ahead to enjoy God's goodness, family, friends, and this wonderful passion of mine.
